Pretty good work :) Also the youtube channel you linked has a lot of videos that are great for referencing and studying animals if you can't do that in your own house, thanks a lot for that link ^^

The shrinking actually looks pretty cool; like it's transforming breeds or something.

This looks quite nice and smooth. I like the motion and the fact that you used reference instead of simply winging it like a lot do.

a good thing for that is planning a bit better with your key poses and then the breakdowns. not just going from frame one and out all the time.

This is amazing Ash :D
The only thing that I see is the back knee...I think it should come up a little more...it sorta looks like she's limping...But hey that's just what I see. Its amazing either way, and something I could never do :)

and just to clarify about the knee bending more, you see way more of the knee bending in the "trot" part of that vid, and not a lot in the "walk" part, so it was partly something you expect to see, but not something that occurs when a dog is just walking i guess.

hm... the only thing i can really tell that may need a tad bit of work is that the butt loos a bit stiff (you know the saying "a stick up you butt"? it sorta reminds me of that saying)
and the knees of the back legs... maybe its a just a thing where you think it should be like that, but its really not supposed to, but i think that maybe the knees should bend down a little more.... i'm not really going off anything scientific or anything, just what i'm seeing.

i didn't see it before you changed the frames, but it looks fantastic right now. its reall fluid, and i love the front paws. they look very realistic.
also the way the head bobs a little makes it way more authentic, cuz my dog does that @ home.

also something my dog does that you've captured here is when my dog lifts its legs its a bit slower, and then she quickly moves then forward. not sure if i explained that part well, but its something she does haha

for a WIP this is really down right amazing, and with your skills you'll have it perfected in no time

sorry if you weren't looking for a critique, as your artist comment doesn't say you are, my apologies if you aren't

Hmmm....You do know that the hind legs paw leaves the ground first right? Very nice animation i think ....
I study how dogs run but i still dont get how there legs are so flexible you know what i'm saying right ash? I have a german shepherd his name is max of course i study how he acts like when he runs and stands and lays down and last walks u should really pay attention more to dogs then animations because dogs are better and you know it X3 i noticed that the front paw how it bends looks like it had a broken leg :| just saying to let you know like they said learn from your mistakes {my animation program is use synfig studios 4 my animations but im still learning how to use it though lol XD}

"u should really pay attention more to dogs then animations because dogs are better and you know it"

I don't get what your saying, I froze frame a Real dog moving and duplicated the movements their not perfect but as I said this was a "test aka WIP" also how can pay attention to dogs more if I don't have a dog anymore? If you think it is incorrect then could you please red line it for me? and also watch the ref in the artist description as well.

thank you~

Actually, what I think she means is that she doesn't get how the wrist bends down when the dog puts the front paws on the ground. But dogs' wrists are suppose to be like that ^^;
I think that you have it down pretty well... (although, this probably has nothing to do with what you didn't understand what she was saying.. sorry for stalking comments again.. top comments on deviations always catch my attention, and I apologize)

I'm really quite confused at what she was getting at ^^; this part "pay attention more to dogs then animations because dogs are better and you know it" it kinda agitated me a bit and in away the whole comment sounded more rude then being a critique. (though that could just be me)

maybe it could be walking on a curved road and not a straight one. So it's shrinking becasue it's walking away from us.
