I said in my last journal how Invader Zim got a bad name due to Hottopic and I want to clear up what I mean. Because of Hottopics Bad rep for being a Goth or scene Kids store and "Invader Zim" Gir being one of their hottest items.

Allot of Brain dead Sheep got the idea that if you like Invader Zim your a Emo, goth, scene Kid that wants to cause trouble. Or some stupid shit. 

It wasn't a cartoon made to be strictly Dark, it was made based on what Made the writers laugh, so it wasn't ever set to be a Kids or adult show.


People complain about how Dark it is, but honestly have you watched the new Sponge Bob eps?  It has characters really trying to commit suicide and now has even worse grosses out humor then IZ ever did... 

Eh well.. yeah that's my little Fan girl Rant

I still love that joke that Horvitz made during that live reading of The Trial at an InvaderCon.

They read the bit where Gir took over the Earth in Zim's absence,
and after reading the passage: "Everything is in Gir's image."

Horvitz got a huge laugh by adding: "Just like HOT TOPIC!"


It's funny..because it's true.


Anyhow..Invader Zim is a popular franchise.
and, anytime a franchise gets THAT popular, there are bound to be "crazy fans"
