No! its never ok to make money off copyrighted characters.

I think as long as they don't mass produce them, its fine.
I think as long as they just hold auctions for them and never offer them as commissions, its fine.
Its only ok, if the owners/companies give permission, or completely ok with it.
If it's a commission for someone, and not made to just sale for a easy profit.
